Frequently asked questions
There are three basic documents related to Latvian companies available here:
- Registry card showing Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO), Director and Shareholder details
- Registry card with history showing all historical UBO, Director and Shareholder details
- Articles of Association
In the Enterprises Register, the Articles of Association can either be in the Latvian language only or they can be in both English and Latvian languages, depending on how they were originally submitted.
If in Latvian language only, the easiest way to get the Articles of Association in English is to translate the Latvian version. Additionally, obtaining certified articles in English as hard copies should be done with a sworn translator. These documents can afterwards be apostilled or legalized if needed.
The Enterprises Register is issuing registry cards only in Latvian.

There is no Certificate of Good Standing issued by the Latvian Enterprises Register.
The closest document is the company registry card which contains almost all of the information that the Certificate of Good Standing would reveal.
